Aerial Gallery<\/a> – Free Tour Downtown Las Vegas<\/span><\/strong><\/h1>\n

Fifty banners featuring the work of local artists can be found along a one-mile stretch of Las Vegas Blvd. that runs from the arts district to city hall. This curbside art project, coordinated by the Las Vegas Arts Commission, presents new artwork every year for an estimated 30,000 pedestrians and car passengers per day. Downtown Las Vegas Aerial Gallery locations Las Vegas Blvd., From Charleston Blvd. to Mesquite Ave.<\/span><\/p>\n

Airport Runways Viewing Area<\/a>\u00a0– McCarran International Airport<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

For a free and entertaining (even romantic) diversion, you really can’t beat the runway viewing area at McCarran International Airport, one of the busiest airports in the Nation. Sit in your car or bring along some lawn chairs, then watch as various aircraft take-off and land. Tune your FM radio to 101.1 and you can listen to the conversations between the pilots and the air traffic control tower.<\/span><\/p>\n

Antiques at Main Street Station<\/a>\u00a0– Las Vegas Free Tour<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

Located in historic downtown Las Vegas, Main Street Station recreates\u00a0turn-of-the-century opulence with unique design, detailed craftsmanship and an extensive collection of authentic antiques, architectural artifacts, artworks and collectibles. Pick up a self-guided tour brochure and map at the front desk to help you navigate the property, where you will encounter many wonderful and important pieces of history.<\/span><\/p>\n

Aquarium<\/a>– Caesar’s Palace<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

The magnificent 50,000-gallon salt water aquarium features more than 300 fish. Some exotic marine life includes tropical puffers, stingrays, flounders, sharks and Orange Clown Fish (also known as Nemo, of \u201cFinding Nemo\u201d fame). Daily feeding take place at 1:15 and 5:15 p.m. daily. At The Forum Shops – Level 2 at Caesars Palace Hotel and Casino (located by The Cheesecake Factory)<\/span><\/p>\n

Aquarium<\/a>– at the Mirage Hotel and Casino<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

One of our most popular attractions is the aquarium located behind the front desk. This 20,000-gallon saltwater aquarium is home to angelfish, puffer fish, tangs and other exotic sea creatures.<\/span><\/p>\n

Aquarium<\/a>– at Silverton Casino<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

Named the “Best Free Attraction” in Las Vegas, Silverton Casino’s saltwater aquarium is large and impressive. Our signature 117,000-gallon reef aquarium will transport you to a tropical oasis where you can admire more than 4,000 tropical fish, and three species each of stingrays and sharks. Interactive feeding shows are scheduled daily at 1:30pm and 4:30pm. The staff marine biologist at our Las Vegas hotel is equipped with a full-face communication mask and answers guests’ questions during the feeding show. Also, don’t miss the live mermaid swim! Mermaid swims are scheduled Thursday from 2:15pm – 8:45pm, Friday and Saturday from 2:15pm – 9:45pm and Sunday from 11:30am – 6:45pm. In addition, the Mermaid Lounge features two 500-gallon jellyfish aquariums lit with LED lights.<\/span><\/p>\n

Aviation History Museum<\/a> – McCarran International Airport Las Vegas<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

The Museum shows the history of aviation in Southern Nevada, from the first flight in 1920 through the introduction of jets. The Museum focuses on the history of commercial and general aviation, and is open 24 hours a day. The Museum’s main exhibit is located above baggage claim on level two, with an additional exhibit in the general and corporate aviation terminal operated by Signature Flight Support. Admission is free.<\/span><\/p>\n

Barrick Natural History Museum<\/a> – UNLV campus<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

The Barrick Museum is a major center for the arts on campus, with engaging exhibitions and dynamic programs, including performing arts events, lectures, film series and social gatherings. Free (but with a ‘suggested donation’) see web site for details.<\/span><\/p>\n

Bellagio Botanical Gardens<\/a>– Bellagio Hotel Las Vegas<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

Brilliance abounds inside our breathtaking Conservatory & Botanical Gardens. The attention to detail is astounding. Bonnie & Clyde Exhibit<\/a> – Primm Valley Resort<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow collaborated on nationwide crime spree from 1932 until their deaths in 1934. The pair combined to commit 13 murders, numerous kidnappings, and several burglaries and robberies. The FBI and many local law enforcement agencies engaged in one of the largest manhunts in United States history. Bonnie and Clyde were ambushed and killed instantly by a posse of lawmen led by Texas Ranger Frank Hamer on May 23, 1934. Bonnie was shot 23 times and Clyde was shot 25 times. Some bullets went completely through one car door and still dented the opposite car door. A total of 167 bullets were fired.<\/span><\/p>\n

Calico Basin Red Springs<\/a> – Red Rock Canyon<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

This project in the Red Springs area is a result of management alternatives developed to protect the habitat in this high use area. Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area is a Bureau of Land Management area on the western edge of the Las Vegas Valley.<\/span><\/p>\n

Centennial Murals<\/a> – Downtown Las Vegas<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

The City of 100 Murals, a signature project of the Las Vegas Centennial,\u00a0inspired the creation of 180 (including 80 extra) permanent and temporary\u00a0murals, and involved thousands of students, artists and citizens. The themes are diverse and range from familiar Las Vegas icons to historical events that made the area what it is today.<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

Chocolate Factory Free Tour<\/a> – Ethel M Chocolate Factory<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

Our self-guided Factory Tour and Botanical Cactus Garden are open seven days per week. Check for our current hours and special events.
\nAdjacent to our factory is our world famous Ethel M Botanical Cactus Garden. One of Nevada\u2019s largest collections of cacti, our garden will delight you with over 300 species of plants.<\/span><\/p>\n

Chocolate Fountain<\/a> – Bellagio Hotel Las Vegas<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

Displaying a spectacular series of melted chocolate cascades, Jean Phillppe Patisserie’s glass-enclosed, floor-to-ceilling chocolate fountain at Bellagio is officially the largest chocolate fountain in the world as certified by Guiness World Records\u2122<\/span>. The first-of-it’s-kind, freestanding attraction.<\/span><\/p>\n

Country Music Memorabilia<\/a>\u00a0– Toby Keith’s Bar & Grill<\/span><\/strong><\/h1>\n

Dairy Tour<\/a> – Anderson Dairy<\/span><\/strong><\/h1>\n

A tour for kids of all ages, Anderson Dairy\u2019s free tour is a scheduled, guided tour. This special “Barnyard Buddies” Tour has been created, complete with animatronic animals, farm scenery and colorful lighting to help us tell the story of Anderson Dairy and Las Vegas. See, first hand, how we process our dairy products. We’re proud of our processing plant, it’s cleanliness and how we package the products you enjoy at home!<\/span><\/p>\n

Desert Demonstration Garden<\/a> – Acacia Park<\/span><\/strong><\/h1>\n

Acacia Demonstration Gardens is a collaborative effort between the City of Henderson, Conservation District of Southern Nevada and several other local organizations. The gardens provide a wealth of landscaping examples that are water efficient for our dry desert climate. In addition to providing visual examples of landscape possibilities and information about the plants displayed, Acacia Demonstration Gardens also hosts a variety of workshops every spring and fall.<\/span><\/p>\n
